'Garv' is without doubt one of the more skillful players on our books and, on his day, can outplay anyone in the league.  Having been signed originally in 1997 after six years at senior side Dumbarton, Martin won the OVD in his first season with the club and became an automatic pick in the middle of the park.  With his accurate reading of the game and passing ability he had the ability to turn matches but, following the sectional tie with St Ants in August 1998, he disappeared from our squad (fight with management, eloping with the missus, abducted by aliens we never did really find out) only to resurface two years on.  Still an integral part of the team, he has been blighted by injury in the last few seasons and has only managed a couple of appearances so far in 2004
